Ashley Foster

It was at the age of seven when Mays Gone lead vocalist Ashley Foster stepped up to the mic for the first time. Coming from a musical family, Ashley started singing in church with her mother and two aunts in the group “The North Family”. Her mother was a major inspiration and was ultimately the reason that she fell in love with performing on stage. In 5th grade, Ashley began playing the saxophone in concert band, and at the age of eleven, she started taking classical piano lessons. High School is where Ashley filled her ideal performing capacity, acting and singing in school musicals. She also continued studying the saxophone throughout high school in the jazz band. At sixteen, Ashley won Ross County Idol, Delaware County Divas & Dudes, and a trip to audition for American Idol. Ashley currently attends Kent State University, majoring in Theater. She looks to a wide range of music and singers for inspiration including Kelly Clarkson, Crosby Stills & Nash, Grace Slick, Stevie Nicks, and Janis Joplin. With strong and breathtaking vocals, Ashley’s singing career has provided her with the creative mind and stage experience that sets Mays Gone apart.
