Jarret Kelley
When it comes to a low-end groove, Mays Gone looks to bassist Jarret Kelley. Inspired by his father’s playing, Jarret decided to try out the bass when he was ten years old. Throughout high school, Jarret widened his techniques and style by joining the marching band and Jazz band, while also working on side projects with guitarist Marc Secoy. Currently a student in the University of Dayton’s Renewable and Clean Energy engineering program, Jarret looks to music for inspiration and motivation. He not only enjoys playing with Mays Gone, but has also strived to expand on techniques and styles by playing in a bluegrass band. He enjoys staying current on bass and recording gear and has great appreciation for good sound. His favorite bass players include Pino Palladino, Roy Mitchell-Cardenas and Jett Beres. Jarret offers a solid foundation for Mays Gone and is excited to see where it will take them.
